It has been my dream to work at Ponoka Elementary School in grade 5 and I have been lucky enough to do this since 2007. I grew up in North Vancouver, BC and I have always known that I was going to be a teacher. After meeting my husband Rick and moving to Alberta, I graduated from the University of Alberta and began teaching in Maskwacis. I taught grade 1 at Meskanahk Ka- nipa-wit School and grade 5 at Nipisihkopahk Elementary. I then began to work for Wolf Creek Public Schools and joined the amazing staff of Ponoka Elementary. I love teaching grade 5 students as we get to explore amazing topics like Canadian History and Science that involves weather, chemistry and electricity! When I am not at school you can find me living at the lake, doing lake things - boating, quadding, snowmobiling, gardening, and playing with my two boys!
