Introduction

Ponoka Elementary School is the second largest school in Wolf Creek with over 600 students from PreKindergarten to Grade 6. The school was recently modernized and boasts a unique design that encourages collaborative teaching and learning. Our staff promote purposeful technology integration and active, healthy lifestyles for all our students while we strive to reach our personal goals through a supportive network and personal dedication.Our Location

Ponoka Elementary School is located in Ponoka, Alberta, Canada. Ponoka is located 35 minutes northeast of Red Deer and 50 minutes southeast of Edmonton. Ponoka is located near the Highway 2 corridor in Central Alberta. Ponoka Elementary School is part of Wolf Creek Public Schools #72 which consists of 7200 students in 30 school locations throughout the division.

Our Community

Ponoka is a small but growing town located in Central Alberta. Ponoka offers many city amenities without traffic congestion and a higher cost of living. Families and individuals of all ages take advantage of Ponoka’s affordable homes and benefit from tax and utility rates that are among the lowest in Alberta. The community of Ponoka boasts many recreational activities including an indoor pool, skating arena, curling rink, tennis courts, soccer and baseball fields, mini-golf, walking paths, golf and of course, a world class stampede!
